is anyone else seeing that snowbunny challenge everywhere rn?
So I’m in Atlanta and my TikTok/FYP has been nonstop with that snowbunny check stuff for like the past week. It started as a couple joke videos and now it’s everywhere — IG reels, X, even dudes in the comments acting like it’s some big test. I’m not even mad at the content, some of it is funny, but the way people turn one viral clip into a whole “type” debate is wild.
I’m kinda mixed on it because on one hand, yeah, interracial dating gets talked about a lot online and that visibility is real. But on the other hand, some of these trends feel less like actual dating talk and more like people chasing clout with stereotypes. I was talking to a girl from Buckhead who said she gets weird messages now because dudes think every white girl with a Black boyfriend is part of some TikTok trend. Anybody else seeing this spill over into real life or is it just my feed being messy?

Aisha JohnsonPREMIUMI get what you mean, but honestly I think a lot of it is just people making memes out of what they already talk about offline. I’m in Philly and the same stuff happens whenever a trend pops off — first it’s funny, then everybody overdoes it, then it dies.
That said, I do think folks need to chill with the stereotype stuff. If somebody’s actually dating interracially, it shouldn’t automatically get turned into a joke or a content strategy. Social media makes everything louder than it needs to be.
